Here are some of the questions we hear most often from landowners and property owners in Middle Georgia. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, just give us a call — we’re happy to talk through any questions you have.
We're based in Dublin, Georgia. We take on jobs throughout Middle Georgia, including areas around Macon, Milledgeville, Statesboro, and the surrounding region. Generally, if you're within about an hour and a half to two hours of Dublin, we'd be glad to come take a look.
We offer forestry mulching, land clearing, fence row clearing, grading and site work, and excavation services including trenching and pond construction. If you're not sure which service fits your situation, reach out and we'll help you figure it out.
Yes. Estimates are always free at Hitson Custom Works. We'll come look at the property, talk through what you need, and give you a straight answer on what the job involves before any work begins.
The easiest way is to call or text us at (478) 800-8851. You can also fill out the contact form on our website. We're available around the clock for inquiries.
Yes. We're able to take on land clearing and related work throughout the year. Things can slow down a bit around the holidays and during deer season in late fall and winter, but we don't have a season where we're completely off. Reach out and we'll let you know our current availability.
Not necessarily, but it helps to walk the property together before work starts so we're both clear on what's being done and what to leave. After that initial walkthrough, we can often manage access and get the work done without you needing to be there every day.
That depends on our current schedule and the scope of your project. The best way to find out is to reach out as soon as possible. We'll give you an honest answer on our timeline and work with you on scheduling.
We currently work primarily with private landowners, but we're interested in taking on commercial projects as well. If you have a commercial property that needs land clearing, mulching, grading, or excavation work, reach out and we'll talk through what's involved.
Our primary machines are a John Deere excavator and a skid steer. We also use a forestry mulcher attachment for mulching and brush clearing work. For jobs that need dozing, we have that capability as well.
Often, yes. It's very common for us to clear land and follow up with mulching in the same project, or to combine fence row clearing with a larger land clearing job. If you have multiple things you need done on the property, let us know upfront and we'll figure out the most efficient way to handle it.
