Hitson Custom Works started in October 2024, but the work ethic behind it goes back a lot further than that. Byron Hitson founded this company on a straightforward belief: your word is your bond. It’s something that gets said a lot and followed through on far less often. At Hitson Custom Works, it’s the foundation everything else is built on.
Based in Dublin, Georgia, Hitson Custom Works serves landowners and property owners across Middle Georgia. From forestry mulching and land clearing to grading, site work, and excavation, we take on the full scope of what it takes to get a piece of land where you want it to be.
Since opening, every job has come through a referral or a neighbor telling a neighbor. That kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because customers who were told a job would be done a certain way showed up and found exactly that — the job done, and done right.
There’s no complicated process here. You reach out, we come look at the property, and we talk through what needs to happen. We’ll tell you what we think the right approach is, what equipment we’ll bring, and what you can expect when it’s done. Then we go do it.
We run a John Deere excavator and skid steer, along with other equipment as the job calls for it. We’re equipped to mulch, clear, grade, trench, and move earth, and we bring the right machine for what the property actually needs.
We don’t sub out our core work or show up with people who don’t know what they’re doing. When you hire Hitson Custom Works, you know who you’re getting.
Follow-through matters. When Byron says he’ll be there at 8, he’s there at 8. When he takes on a job, it gets finished the way it was agreed upon.
Customers who’ve worked with us consistently say the same thing: you can count on us.
We’re not a huge company trying to run 10 crews at once. Right now, it’s Byron, which means every job gets his full attention. As Hitson Custom Works grows, that standard of care isn’t going anywhere.
We’re proud to be based in Dublin and to do business with landowners and developers all across this part of the state.
Middle Georgia has a lot of working land — hunting properties, timber land, farms, and rural homesteads — and keeping it maintained and usable is something we take seriously.
Whether you’re opening up a shooting lane before deer season, reclaiming a fence row that’s gotten out of hand, or prepping a pad site for a new build, we’re here and we’re ready.
